Hilarious: I sent this message to the seller this evening. And I've just received this... So he's cancelled the order, despite telling me it was already dispatched after the original cock-up. I've just purchased one at Amazon, where the price has dropped to £88.29, and I had over £49 in my gift card account.

Determined to be a pain in the arse to the end, Amazon sent my pillow via DPD who are "sorry that I wasn't in" and left a very nice picture eof the outside of my block of maisonettes, taken from the opposite side of the street. They'll be back on Tuesday. No card left, obviously, and its doubtful that "Gurpreet" even bothered to try my entryphone, or use the "trade" button. Still, the good news is that my new pillowcases are only 5 stops away.

Obviously the message I left with DPD head office in the Netherlands worked, because my pillow arrived today, as opposed to Tuesday which DPD originally quoted. OK, so I * might* have intimated it was a present for my mother's 100 th birthday on Monday, and how disappointed I was with their service, and the distinct possibility that their driver might have been fibbing... Anyway, I've inserted it into a pillowcase (any standard pillowcase will do Simba say; it was like wrestling a pig into a carrier bag) so all that remians is for me to sleep on it for a night and wake up with a stiff neck.

Let us know what quality of sleep you get from the Simba. Having lived through your acquisition woes, we look forward to the coda.

I slept comfortably, and I'm calling this one as an eventual win. It'll take a few more nights, especially when the weather gets unbearably (for me) hot again, but my thoughts are all positive so far.

TBH I thought it was going to be too thick for starters, and I might end up removing some of its innards and keeping them in the neat little bag provided for just that purpose, but it seemed to have "setttled" during the night.

I've had a week with the new pillow, and I'm calling it a success. My bed often looked like I'd been wrestling someone by morning, and sadly that sort of activity is nothing more than a memory these days, but since I've had the pillow it barely looks slept in. No more waking up five or six times a night to turn over or get "comfy" either.
It wasn't cheap, especially when you add the best part of twenty quid for a single pillow case, but (so far at least) it's worth every penny.
