I only use ethernet in one link, upstream from router to EtherREGEN. It's only a 1m run but actually consists of three lengths: one 1m run with two 0.5m patches either side of a pair of DXE filters. Using my EMI meter, there is a degree of EMI/RFI all around the room so I can't say much more than it's neither zero nor high. Shielding may be a factor and certainly Cat 7 sounds better than any unshielded cable I have tried, including MeiCord. It also sounds better than shielded Supra Cat 8. Therefore, the Category and bandwidth are not really the limiting factors. In fact, music streaming is not very demanding of a 1GB link, especially when my 4G+ reception is less than 100Mbps. I surmise that there is something about the raw cable quality, the type of shielding (shielded in pairs) and the connector quality, that make uGreen the best cable I've used regardless of price. Just so i understand the context, have you compared the uGreen with more expensive ethernet cables, like north of £200 for a 0,75m? If you have, was that recently or several years ago?

Only a short AfterDark link, which I no longer use. The MeiCord was the most expensive I tried. I don't understand why you are fixated on price?

It was just because when i walked the ladder up in the AQ line of cables it got increasingly better as I stepped up the line. The same seem to be true when reading reviews by people online on shopping sites. They seem very happy as they step up the product line. When stepping up the ethernet product line you seem to get better and better performance, in general. For that reason it felt unlikely (to me) that uGreen has managed to solve something, that the others can´t, for so little outlay. But since i haven´t tried it i just wanted to check if someone understood why the uGreen one would be able to achieve so much for so little money. Or if there are differences in where we implement the cables that can explain what we report.

I can't answer your question as to why the uGreen sounds so good. It just does.
