Which Bubble version, Matt? Could you have lost internet or even Qobuz had a glitch? I haven't had anything like that happen since Qobuz had a well-advertised outage. It’s the latest update of Bubble, but it was happening before the update too. I also updated the Dac firmware around the time of the last Bubble update and thought that had fixed it. Rebooting the Dac sometimes fixes it, but other times I have to reboot the Android device too. I’m using Tidal, but I think the problem is the Dac disconnecting from the network, rather than Bubble or Tidal. It has been working fine now since my last post.

Just looking for a bit of network help. I’ve just installed a switch between my router and renderer. After trying a few different methods of connection, I can now see the renderer on the network again, but bubble UPNP can no longer find the renderer.

Is Bubble being put off by the switch ? Pull the switch out and try again ?

Is Bubble being put off by the switch ? Pull the switch out and try again ? It works fine without the switch. Renderer recognised on network through the switch, but seems the switch is blocking something. Trying to reset manually, but looks like I might need a cable to get into the software

It may have some configured ports, VLAN or such.
Try a factory reset.

I know it is a different implementation, but my streamer 'sees' BubbleUPnP through 2 switches, a Fidata server and the Innuos PhoenixNET and the controller works fine via a WAP and a switch (ie a different path). There is a sub-net on the main switch, but that is handling something different to the audio components. From BubbleUPnP running on a Sinology NAS there are 2 switches before it hits the firewall device (Smoothwall running on a HP micro-server) which isolates it from the 'router' / IP telephony system and the broadband connection.

In the end I moved the server to the main network. Edited…because I originally quoted the wrong post

Sorry out of my depth here but the one suggestion I can make is I used to use a Cisco switch which was unmanaged and would some times have issues with connections . When I decided to go the Optical route using SFP with Convertor from Ethernet to SFP I bought (no special knowledge just happened to come up at a price I wanted to pay) a D-Link managed switch . This just plugged in and worked and everything around the house became easy to see on the network and connect to . I have since added a further ground floor D-Link managed switch for use with the TV and Amazon Cube boxes and again this seems to connect easily with the router and my server on the other switch . So after all that waffle I would suggest that unless you are able to access and have the skill to set the Cisco switch then consider a managed switch which may well clear up your connections .

Good news on the Cisco switch. I bought a Console cable like this www.startech.com/en-ie/cables/icusbrollovrDownload Putty and got into the switch boot loader with the help of my wife. Reset the switch and rebooted it and everything is working perfectly now. The switch itself is now visible on the network as well as the renderer.

USB to RJ45 - not seen one of them before ! Apparently they used to use RJ45 to RS232, but now they are RJ45 to usb, although this switch is over 10 years old, so it’s possible they use other means in newer models.

USB plug to RJ45 short adapters are common for use with laptops that don't have an RJ45 socket, of which there are many. Sometimes you can't put things right with only wi-fi.

Is anybody familiar with Enqueued on BubbleUPNP?
I’ve been playing cascade burn in via bubble and a pop up said something about enqueued and now I can’t get it to play. I just get a pop up each time.

The battery optimisation is welcome although I already get a week's use from my Galaxy Tab S7 FE.
4.4.1 reduced battery usage with multiple internal changes to reduce CPU usage (free version) replaced WebView banner ads by native ads that are more efficient in term of memory/CPU/battery usage fixed memory leaks when app is running in background and UI is destroyed improved app startup times via baseline profile changed 'Settings > Local renderer > Allow remote control' to disabled by default. If you remotely control BubbleUPnP acting as a renderer, make sure to enable that setting fixed tracks scrobbled by external scrobbler apps including the track number in the title if 'More > Settings > Library > Track number' is enabled fixed some third party apps not recognizing BubbleUPnP anymore as a media player a few obscure minor tweaks updated some software libraries used to build the app

Ok, so it seems that Enqueued means it’s added to the end of a queue. If I’ve an album playing and select cascade, it adds it to a queue and if you skip past every track on the album, it will then play cascade. Not exactly sure why it’s doing this though.
