For Anthony I have just completed 2 very special M50 that have separate PSU and with Balance in and RCA in and out so they can be used with his WB Turbo to give him , I think he called 5.1 surround sound. The beast can also be bridged as mono with 240W RMS out each. Due to my crap eye sight have taken me over 8wks to make crazy. These look has if there will be the last amps I make, unless my eyes improve. It is my left eye with cloud out and double vision, the Doctors at Barts think it may get better but not so far, well mor scans today I hate that machine. I will post some pics later of these weird little amps, oh they also have a remote feedback like the WB and a gain control.

Resurrecting an old thread as I too have one of the few EWA A40 amps on the planet. Easily best power amp I have owned and fully concur with Clive's comments. I have an EWA M50 P pro pre-amp to match it and the combo is very simply just sublime. I don't think Colin Wonfor gets anywhere near the accolade his ampliiers deserve. They keep getting better and his designs have continually evolved over time. I am trying one of his recently announced 5W SECA kit amps soon and it will be an interesting comparison with the A40.

I built a prototype A40 and it's an exceptional amplifier.
Been playing around with Cols designs for decades and used to retail them in the late 80's.
I've just completed one of the new 3 state kit amps, configured as a hybrid push pull and SECA design and it's running in nicely and sounding beautiful.

Hi Paul Sounds like you have a interesting background. Let us know if you still in the HIFI trade as new members in the trade need to declare> No worries if not but be interesting to learn about your past ventures.

Hi John, Apologies, I was going to post in the new members section, but didn't as I'm sure I was registered here before. Username would be "quickie" something or other. Anyway, I just enjoy building and listening to Colins amplifiers, and was in retail for a few years after I left school Best, Paul

Presumably Paul it was your prototype A40 that had photos on the net. They helped get me hooked. I’ve been listening to Colin’s new 30W A/B amp. It’s ridiculously good.
