Fully terminated 405 TF (crimp with SS fully IL tested connectors) is about 400@m
The big 56Ghz stuff starts @ £2k and heads skywards, this is to do wirth certifed BW and insertion loss garantee's

Megabucks then... Another question 🤔 If the cable works up the a higher GHZ, does that indicate its any better?

Highband width for audio say above 100M max really isn't the primary factor I feel when deciding on a digital audio cable.
For audio data you are looking at a max of 22.58Mhz @ 16 time red book data rates CD is 1/411Mb/s however its is the cable dynamic measurable characteristics that will give a far better indicator of how the signal progressing down the transmission line than a single individual measurement iho

Thanks Tony, l am probably trying your patience🤣
So when l am looking at a specs of a cable, where would l find the details of the "cable dynamic measurable characteristics" ?
Sorry l keep nagging...

You will require a VNA (Vector Network Analyser) to look at the dynamic attributes of a cables then a further year or two to interpet how/what & why specific cable paratmeters (materials/construction/assemble techniques) give the readings they do Damien.
An LCR meter will allow to view the static properties of inductance/capacitance/Resistance then you would need to coralate that with how the inserion loss, reactance and impedence measurements via a smith chart etc can help you deciper how cables work with carious signals/ amplitute, bursts etc.
RF is not a subject for faint hearted or a short term video crash coarse on YT, however you need to understand how signals travel within a conductor / dielectric pathway/ cabling and terminations this will allow you to 'see' why certain cables are more forgiving than other when it come to serial audio & sync frame genrated timing pulse signals.

Wow, so on the surface of it,unless you put the effort in, and unlike myself have the brains. There isn't any real guide as such, apart from materials or amount of sheilding used.
Okay thanks for the info Tony, your experience is alway welcomed by myself.
