Martin and John actually did hear these cables some six years ago, they are staple for my test set up's for audio I use something very different, although it preclude most folks due to cost. The TFlex 405 (genuine) is a very good cable and will happily sit in real £60K plus systems no problem at all.

Just to say I have contacted the supplier Tony has linked to on another site and filled in a cable quote request form for a 1 metre BNC to BNC cable and will see what comes back from them . As this stuff is mainly for microwave equipment I am at a loss as to how McGills would be able to supply something that is not TFlex 450 but never been in this world before so perhaps legitimate companies can do this or TFlex 450 is a standard and not a cable name . Will get back to you once I have details from the US but I would be prepared to buy with others to get a better deal . As I am not able to construct my own cable getting a properly built cable for a good price would be a real plus . Can I just ask where Damien has ordered his cable from that is due to arrive ? Was that via Mouser ?

Ok, I'm getting a bit weary of this, I have zero connection with this company, I am only relating my experinaces with many so called suppliers who claim to have said cable the same. I'm not on commission or freebie's here. I am trying to help you guys. Up to you whether you wish top follow it up or not. John, the blue thin cables when i first showed you the LB clock all those years ago lol. I have over 200 T-flex cables from different suppliers they do NOT all measure the same or sound the same these are my observations, however they are used for T&M. The same as the LB clock which is not designed for audio, but works rather well. Do try and find these little nuggets and pass them on. There is nothing more in it that. I would understand if we were discussing £1000+ cables, but these are affordable excellence as I would call them. You guys have given me the push I needed today, time for a holiday very soon, need to check fights to Portugal now lol. Suggestion here, prehaps Damien could start a reference thread on the R26/LB clock and cables with how's tried what and in which system, XL spread sheet and quickly you will find some corralations that will benefit many of you.
You can also obtain said cable made to order in the UK, funny thing is its not the same and costs a wee bit more, funny old world eh?

Apologies Tony I have and do appreciate your advice and work and have taken it in the past . I come from a very different commercial world to you and in that during my working life standards , brand names a specifications were often a matter of life and death so any company found breaching these rules were pursued rigourously and had huge fines as punishment often putting them out of business . As far as I can find out in my stumbling way this cable is made by Times Microwave and they are the source supplier and mtg of this cable . The UK company McGills is their UK approved dealer so I would presume they are using genuine cables . This seems to be not the case from what you say so I am going to give this a miss for now as I am walking through treacle and not able to understand any of this .

I believe this is the right configuration for the internal chassis tail. Can anyone confirm?

Looks correct to me Martin.
Would be interesting to hear,if direct connection or using a patch lead does make difference.

I'm going to have to study photos of the inside of an X26 Pro to get an idea of the length I'll need.
By the way, I've gone back to loving the Harmonic Tech 50Ω clock cable, which is a better match for this T-Flex too.

No, the HT is such a good clock cable, and I have tried so many already, I'm not going down that road any more! Unless someone has one and wants to pop in for a session and comparison!

Thought this link might be of interest for the tflex 405 buyer's.. www.mcgillmicrowave.com/about-us/Liam, his dad was vice president of Times microwave, has said they can put any end we want on the tflex 405...including the mxc to bnc chassis female.

More to the point have you got a spare HT cable ? Yes, but would have no idea how to squeeze an MCX plug onto it. BNC was within my abilities.
