The technically challenged managed to run on repeat overnight Streamer, DAC/Pre, Power Amp and speakers 8 hours Seems a definite maybe Subtle with greater separation, clarity I believe However it was dark and I don't know if I took the red pill or the blue one.... Better to run the power amp and speakers ?

I did a lot of mine without power amp and speakers and that already made a lot of the sound improvements. Bringing the amp and speakers in at the end gave me some more still.
You need of the order of 80-100 hours to hear all it can do. A week of running it overnight (which is why best without the power amp and speakers).

Thanks, was aiming for 100 hours Can't stop myself listening in the interim though !
Why not have power amp and speakers on if at low volume ?

Why not have power amp and speakers on if at low volume ? No reason, except power consumption.

I can't imagine that running even power hungry class A tube amps for 100 hours would amount to much on your electric bill... would they?

My whole system idles at 100W, much less with the power amp off.

I continue to be baffled and amazed in equal measure by what the Tara Labs burn in file is doing for my main and office systems.

Back to the front and very well known end of the album playlist
More bass, positively growling, more detail, top end, louder, more open, more music
<later> Very nice. Little things now heard that weren't there before

100 hours up. That will do for now at least
Yes, it works. Better on some albums than others, par for the course on almost any upgrade now
More clarity, separation in the individual instruments and voices. More bass on some albums. Occasionally I hear things that probably weren't meant to be there. An equalisation of foreground and back ground. IE what I thought was the main theme or melody is only one of two, possibly more happening at once. The brain has to work on familiar music that has changed
A worthwhile upgrade and well worth 100 hours electric on the kit.

Thought I had a measure of what would happen
Bruce Hornsby - Spirit Trail was wonderful as usual Halcyon Days takes at least a couple of steps up in terms of quality Nice surprise

I decided I needed to see what this was all about. I’m on the 2nd playing of the burn in track. I’ll do some listening this evening.

Ok, so I’ve played the burn in track twice and I’m definitely hearing better sound today, but this will be in some part due to the ‘Nordost’ AliExpress Odin Ethernet cables I installed on Saturday.

Keep it on overnight. That's where I got most of my hours

Quote from John Swenson, the excellent designer associated with Uptone and Sonore products...
It's great to see it in writing no matter how many times I have repeated the description of the 'U' shaped burn-in progression.
