4 days of mostly tablet only All good, except the tablet now takes longer to get into Bubble
3 times I used the phone and the usual problems came up almost immediately
How can I fix that ?

It sounds like your phone doesn't have a stable connection with your WiFi (assumed WiFi is verified okay by the tablet working fine / better).
1. Reboot phone.
2. If still not good, delete (forget) the existing connection with your WiFi on the phone and set it up again.
Apart from that, a full factory reset and then set it up again is the only thing left / new phone🥴
Of all the devices I have / have used the phone has always pretty much been the best / most stable connection wise.
Designed that way to give you hours of mind bending Instagram / TikTok with ads, allow endless online shopping and make you swallow all the fake news / political bullshit 'they' want you to believe - all beamed to the handy addictive device you carry everywhere with you. No way they are making those cashcows etc anything but bullet proof reliable 🙂
Of course there are various methods to avoid all the pitfalls of phone use I mentioned above and still have great use from a phone.
caveat phonum emptor😉

I have found both phone and tablet stable. However, I still turn mobile data off when I want the phone to perform best with wi-fi.

I use a dedicated phone for Bubble upnp duties, that doesn't have a SIM even. Was the wife's before she got the latest Google pixel. I sometimes use my phone, and with mobile data on I never have any troubles.
Could be different implementations of wireless system by different handset manufacturers I guess.

Agreed, it's going to vary and if you happen to have wi-fi that glitches while your mobile signal remains strong, it's going to cut over and lose connection to the Rendu and be reluctant to see it again now that the network has switched.
I virtually never use my phone for control since the tablet is so much nicer and sits on my lap, so I simply do not see this problem.

The phone offers advantages over the tablet, working slightly differently so that was a plus. Good to have either to choose from
Mobile data is off unless I go out, very rare, and even then might not be turned on.
Sorry to say my old LG seems to have lost it's screen abilities so no alternative there

Did you exactly copy the settings for Bubble between the two devices? Otherwise, they may behave differently.
How can you not prefer the larger real estate provided by the tablet? I really like Bubble in landscape mode.

Easy to set up on the phone, blundering around in the dark metaphorically Stunned it worked
I'll try comparing settings
The phone always comes on with the quick access to Bubble without password The tablet normally needs password and rekeying to enter Bubble, - but not always, slower than the phone too Some sort of timeout need adjusting ?

All working well for the past few days, tablet only driving Bubble
What if ... I try that intermittently faulty (?) adaptor again ?
Replicating a power cut, of which we have enough I turned off Rendu and adaptor Swapped adaptor, turned Rendu back on and then adaptor, which I found previously was best
Minor fiddling* and I'm back working Fingers crossed
I have enough power cuts so this tells me what will probably happen Instantaneous Off/On power cuts happen here so if I find no playlist when I return that could be the answer
*No Now playing or Playlist until a searched for an album, saved it and found it on top of the playlist

Let us know what you hear, Mike, as I remain amazed at the differences in sound there are between SFPs, cables and (in your case) media converters.

Instant reaction It is better, on different music so not guaranteed My ears and brain like it very much Supplied by a cheap little box off Ebay (!) On the kit side seems like some answers to previous problems Something is confused, perhaps caused by the Rendu being turned off. Music stopping at the end of a track, starting back up the playlist, next to be played follows on from the top Select where I want to be and it jumps back up again. Back to where I want to be again and third time lucky it is continuing with that album as normal Loving the album I am playing so comparisons for another time

If you can, always restart the Rendu from its SonicOrbiter interface, that's a nice clean boot without interrupting connections as you do when you switch it off.
By the way, when the countdown reaches 0s always wait longer as it takes more time to come online again.

Thanks Martin
I have developed patience for some actions as they seem slightly delayed so that makes sense

Took me a while and still developing technique I am investigating albums I don't know from artists I do and like Fascinating with Qobuz serving up all sorts of obscure albums and ones that don't seem to exist elsewhere, or I didn't look properly Great albums from Jazzanova, UNKLE, Gustavo Santaolalla, Geoffrey Richardson, Steve Stills, Voice of the seven woods, Boards of Canada, Bonnie Raitt, Dave Seaman, Eric Burdon Really enjoying Tarwater albums. German so may be of interest to our peteaGo into Q and start at the top. (Jazzanova are also German)

Sounds like you need a UPS. Ever thought of going solar with battery, dimensioned for all your needs? 🙂
Qobuz is always finding ways of pleasantly surprising with catalogue additions. Some obscurities I could only find on YouTube before appear in much better SQ on Qobuz sooner or later👍

Brought into sharper focus with the Rendu. Usually not even aware of power cuts in the night, until I see the Pioneer CD is on Everything adjusts and not usually a problem It is possible we could have a year without a power cut. Wouldn't put money on it though One of the neighbours was talking to an electric repairer who told him that they know there is a problem around here but they don't know where so they keep fixing it when it breaks
Being cut off in my prime without the luxury of a power cut today Decided to work on each component in the chain. Yes I know the interweb is likely the problem but I'm getting 8Mbps down and 20 up Last night I rebooted the Rendu and it came back - great First thing happened again so rebooted Rendu and came back but not for long Turned Rendu off for a few minutes, the gentle way from PC, came back but went again Came out of Bubble on the tablet to reboot that but the music started again !
Been glitching a bit today so I will work through the chain and see if I can establish the fault Tablet only, phone not in use The playlist just disappeared but playing ok. Tech .....
Next is Rendu off, swap out adaptor and back on, hmm might try adaptor off as a separate exercise
Router is fine for everything else including streaming on YouTube and Amazon

Is this the wifi ?
Started the day fine Rendu and adaptor left on overnight Tablet into use and played the track I left last night For 30 minutes all was fine, then it stopped when I clicked to skip a track All looked fine Reboots and messing around give no answer or music
Try different approach Phone on, into Bubble Playing. That was fine for another 40 minutes or so then stop. Rebooting and fiddling give no music
Breakfast and dog walk
Tablet on and playing. I stupidly clicked to advance the track - off
More rebooting of phone and tablet and I now have music
Bug in something, flakey wifi - other ?

We already know your wi-fi tends to drop as the 4G signal drops during the day.
All these shenanigans appear to happen for that very reason.
There is no bug that I am aware of.
