Good news - that could be the problem
Bad news - not what I wanted to hear. Old router going back in for long term testing

I'm surprised you don't have a great internet connection where you are. 15Mbps on a good day with BT line and no chance of improvement which is why I went to Broadband Next door neighbour had 60Mbps down so was a no brainer - except I have 30 on a rare, good day MartinT has around double that Simple question How could I run Qobuz from my W10 laptop ? (not via Bubble I know)

Unexpected side effect of Qobuz Investigating Jazzanova I find a lot that isn't listed generally German collective so might be a Qobuz interest, next door to France Could also be the style of music, jazz, nujazz, lots of remixing and fiddling about Been on the Jazzanova list for days now and having a god time !

Weird stuff happening today
All off overnight, testing how it all comes back
Usually takes the Rendu a minute to come up. Not today. Guess 2-3 minutes as I wasn't paying attention. Mixed benefit turning the Rendu around to face me - the light at the back is too dim for me to see. Need to put a small mirror in
After a few tracks on a long playlist it stopped playing. Left it a while to find out what happens Music came back but around 10 tracks from where it was. Went in and back to where I was
Later on same thing happened
First and second time that has ever happened
As fate would have it I had Speedtest show me a download of 19Mbps Good Minute later after glitching on the sound Speedtest again 3Mbps
Left it a few minutes and has been fine ever since Speedtest says 16Mbps down

Regrettably, a cardinal rule for streaming is "No network, no music".

Regrettably, a cardinal rule for streaming is "No network, no music". Yes, even the smallest glitch will stop the music. Both speed and stability are required. Thankfully, 4G+ has worked out way better for us in both criteria compared with rubbish landline.

I am puzzled by this using my server which is Logitech Media Server I have all music streamed with a cache which is adjustable . I extend this to maximum and if you turn everything off this will play for at least ten minutes without stopping .This is normally more than long enough to cover small glitches .

A cache could be a good move Could it be done with a small device that caches a few minutes ?

I am not anything like an expert to n this but I think all streamers precache any packages in to check that they are correct . It is the amount of time that is cached that can be changed in my software . I increase the length and this means there is a delay till the first song plays after that no real issues . But it will need much cleverer people than me to say how this can be used using other equipment .

Most streamers will cache a fraction of a second at least. That seems to be enough for me and the music starts very quickly.

What might be available to cache for a short while, keeping the quality ?

Today had more interesting events
All off overnight. All on first thing.
While waiting for the Rendu to come up - music started playing - uh ? About 10-20 tracks ahead of where I wanted to be so grabbed phone and went back to the right track in the playlist
All fine for a while then it jumped tracks, 10 or 20 Put back to where I wanted to be
Irregularly when it does this I find I am on the phone audio. Select Rendu and back to normal
Will resetting, rebooting or other sort this ?

It sounds like your streamer has a scratch!

I don't know why you're powering off the Rendu. If it starts playing when you power it on, it means it was not shut down properly. You should restart via its interface if at all possible as that ensures a clean boot up.
I would keep the router, optical link and Rendu running all the time. Rendu sounds better when fully warm, too.

Is that Power Down from SonicOrbiter ?
I've been turning off at the back
I usually turn all off overnight and have found the Rendu gets quite warm - is that normal ?

Yes.
My Rendu barely gets lukewarm, certainly much cooler than the Gustard DAC, which also stays on.
