Rendu been off for a while, semi deliberately
Fancied an Underworld revisit and easily grabbed the albums - on the phone Good How's the tablet doing, after multiple reboots, off and on then ? Mirrors what the phone has set up but incapable of finding anything on its own Not so good Hmmm. Technology
A plus for streaming : Dubnobasswithmyheadman has a super long deluxe version on Qobuz and has been playing for hours If available on CD that would cost many pennies

Mirrors what the phone has set up but incapable of finding anything on its own Could you elaborate on this, Mike? Do you mean Bubble cannot search? If so, is your tablet connected and able to search?

Found out how to bring Qobuz back onto the tablet Back to another problem On tablet Click on Qobuz Enter user name and password Not accepted Even though phone works with the same info and tablet sees Qobuz and the Rendu Tablet needs charging and so do I. Back tomorrow

Phone working fine with Bubble and Q
Not so on Tablet
Click on Qobuz Login Enter User name and password
Authentication failed : Timeout
Many off and on, reboots Haven't tried shouting at it
Various settings changed, Bubble off, tablet restarted
Clicked about every setting I could - and I'm connecting with the tablet Tried and failed with so many forget which one it was and how I got there Will try and work that out

The phone working fine confirms the system.
The problem is with your tablet. Are you sure the tablet has the correct password for Qobuz? Have you confirmed by running the Qobuz app on the tablet? Further confirmed by running Qobuz in your browser (play.qobuz.com) on the tablet?
Further confirmation/elimination now required.

Password was and is ok
I'm going back in to find the setting I changed
Might have been Settings / Renderers settings / Select Renderer / Proxy Qobuz tracks

Oh no, don't use proxy. You don't need it - why is that setting on?

Proxy may be why the tablet works now Will turn it off and try all again

Been working fine for days now Haven't played a CD on the main system for maybe a week
A different way of listening. I've been finding albums I don't have on CD that are almost certain to be good and mostly this has worked well.
Yesterday was the first problem or two in a while Dead stop for no reason I could fathom - rain stopped play ? That may be related to the glitching I had on sound which is almost certainly the interweb connection. Now I will test the various routers and aerials I have
Oddly enough Speedtest says I have 2 Mbps download and all sounds good. 1100kbps on Bubble

Remember that heavy rain affects all kinds of radio transmission, including 4G/5G.
So 'rain stops play' is a new truism!

Using streaming more and more and as luck would have it .. Working fine, then stopped working Initially all seemed fine, DAC clicked when I instructed Bubble and Qobuz to do their work Much rebooting, turning off and leaving off Came back this morning But why ?

DAC clicked when I instructed Bubble and Qobuz to do their work That suggests that the DAC is receiving its signal. I would look very carefully at volume/mute as the culprit. Both remote and Bubble.

Looked at volume. Fine, not changed After some fiddling the Rendu was not seen by phone or tablet In a break from my usual switch on procedure I turned on the adaptor then the Rendu. And it came back. Why does it work for days then stop working ? Could the Rendu be intermittently faulty ?

Extremely unlikely to be faulty. Rendus just work.
More likely, then, to be your intermittent internet feed or something else causing the connection to drop out.

But everything else works Download was up to 30Mbps when the music wasn't working
Here's another thought What *might* be changed after rebooting or turning kit off ?

Check that your optical feed is reliable, as nothing else uses it.
Green LED at the back turned orange?

Light at the back always green
By optical feed do you mean the cable, adaptor or both ?
Another thought I have problems after a track finishes Has the Rendu cached only that track or tracks from the last session and the problem is further back in time ?

Another thought I have problems after a track finishes Has the Rendu cached only that track or tracks from the last session and the problem is further back in time ? Problems or stopping after a track (even when you've enqueued more tracks or a whole playlist), is almost certainly internet, or rather more broadly speaking, data dropout. Somewhere along the line the data stream is not getting to Rendu, or it's been broken and then even if restored by itself or by your manual intervention, sometimes nothing short of a Rendu reboot seems to fix it.

I agree with that. Dodgy internet feed has been almost all of Mike's problems.
