Main reason for streaming is to have access to the albums I either cannot buy or those that are very expensive.
Will also save me time by not looking around for a good price CD
If I find other advantages as I stream that could swing it further
So far : Useful having tracks listed and album details on the pc
Also fairly sure the BS sounds better than my Chinese BT adaptor, which it ought to being £450 more expensive

Stay with it, Mike. Once you've got the BS behaving as you like, you can focus on getting used to the control app and how to find new music.

Did you connect the Node to your router by cable?

I only use BT for YouTube and it does hold fast. Is there a microwave oven being used? That can screw with BT.
How are you doing with getting the BS on wi-fi? If you need a hand, I can maybe pop over one evening this week.

Seemed such a sensible thing to do ... I have music with CD so no panic and no rush

Did you connect the Node to your router by cable? No Pete Would that affect Bluetooth ? Can do that as the router is quite close at the moment No, but it would eliminate any vagaries of the WiFi connection. The Mu-So-Qb in the kitchen here would just drop the signal at random even when other devices maintained a good WiFi connection. It then connected again, but the stream was lost. Once connected by cable it never lost its connection once. Bluetooth is a completely separate wireless connection. Have you initiated a Qobuz subscription yet? That will be handled directly by the Node (you put your account details into it) and whatever wireless device you are using as a 'controller' will allow you to search, choose play, etc using the Bluesound controller app installed on it (whichever device you want to control the unit from - eg phone, iPad, laptop). Again Bluetooth is in addition to all that and allows you to divert the audio output of a laptop, phone, etc directly to the Node. Try also Airplay from the YouTube app on your wife's iPad (press the little square with radiating 'waves' in it to access the options for which service: PT, Airplay etc).

Cable found and connected
Quicker way to get Bluetooth back Settings try to redo Restart laptop Comes back with "We will complete" BT back on
The Bluesound has a lot of things on it to investigate Qobuz in the future as I have CDs aplenty to listen to

I've just been reading on the Radio Paradise website that RP is built into the BlueOS system.
That there will introduce you to a lot of great rock music when you need a change from selecting for yourself.

Lots built into BS for me to discover RP was the first thing played with good tracks
I may always have a queue of artists and albums I want to play, revisit or try out after mods to the system Certainly do at the moment. The album playlist has a queue of around 300 waiting to join

Fiddling around today shows my latest laptop seeing BS over BT but with the sound coming out of the internal speakers Oldest laptop same Even after many reboots, turn off and on
Middle laptop does the same but produces sound via BT through the BS and out of the system May not be the latest W10 as not used for a while
Has W10 updated me into problems or where do I look ?
<Later> More fiddling on the X1 gives sound via BT into BS and system
Talking of fiddling I found a very interesting screen on the BS May have been via direct access to the BS on 10.1.2.3 which now says
This page isn’t working 10.1.2.3 didn’t send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
Perhaps because I now have a direct cable connection
Wireless Manual Setup If the above-specified method does not work or you are using Windows or macOS, perform the following steps:
Search the WiFi network for the Player's Hotspot* and connect to it. Open a web browser and visit 10.1.2.3 The Configure player menu is displayed. Select Configure WiFi. Select your home WiFi network under the Configure Wireless drop-down menu.
.... and loads more
The wonders of technology
CD player plays CDs while all this is going on

Mike, are you sure you're clicking on the speaker at bottom-right and selecting the route for audio? BT rarely gives me any problems like this.

Been looking all over the place for something as a clue Clicking on the speaker I get ..... Ah, furkles around
*Right* click on that and I have choices !
Brilliant That could be the answer to a lot of this
The only way I see to change the settings is right clicking and being well aware of what is going on
