They think wifi is dropping out but want me to run a log programme on the app so they can understand what is happening. This tallies with my finding that the few times it's happened to me was because the stream glitched. It's going to be more common with a wi-fi connection, especially if the channel is being used by a close neighbour.

Don't think changing channels will help as just bt wifi piggy banking and not being used. I think more to do with the router in another room

piggy banking? 🐷🐽 Not sure what you mean John. l would look into changing the frequency, its a common issue, and it costs Zero.

Can we just clarify?
1) what route is the data stream taking to the streamer? 2) what route is the control data taking to the streamer?
I presume 2) is via wi-fi, but I am unsure of 1)

So your WiFi is an extender, not directly from your Router?

I presume 2) is via wi-fi, but I am unsure of 1) My IFi Zen Stream is connected to the hub I use my password to ensure connection I am using the hub wifi which is part of the package I pay for The Hub also produces a wifi connection that others can use if they pay for it. To my knowledge no one dose this I think moving to 5g later in the year maybe the best solution

So your WiFi is an extender, not directly from your Router? My wifi comes from the router as I use the hub password to connect No extenders Works fine with YouTube and Spotify. However, lower data stream.

So the Zen Stream is connected by ethernet cable to the hub and the Android control tablet is connected by wi-fi to the hub?

To clarify the BT hub produces 2 wifi signal I have no idea how to disable the second wifi signal that you would have to pay extra for to use

No ethernet cable all wifi Ah - thanks. So if the main stream is via wi-fi, that should explain your problems. Is there any chance of extending the telephone cable to the router, bringing it closer to your room?

Only way to bring it closer is to put the hub on the same ring main as the system

I can confirm that the problem is not BubbleUPnP as I've been using the crappiest Android tablet imaginable, my old neocore E1R, which uses Android 7! Even this sloth of a beast has been working fine while my Samsung has been away for repairs, with no stopping mid-track. The fault must lie with glitches in the stream.

l had a similar lissue, when l was trying to run a wifi extender to another, it would drive me crazy Martin. The TPlink l purchased was such a simple solution, and it's what they use on camp sites etc, in John's case l believe sort his WiFi signal dropping. Of course l don't know if he so limited in space, that he is unable to run a ethernet cable and mains extention to a better location.
