I need some info please. Im looking at buying a pair of Amphion Helium 510 speakers as my living room is quite small 15x13 ft. Would these speakers be ok in my living room as they would have go fairly close to rear wall. My amp im using is a Musical fidelity m3 so has plenty of grunt. My music tastes are all over the place, swing, pink floyd, rock, acoustic, rave, yeah pretty much all sorts.

I'm sure they are good in a small room but probably don't want to be right up against the wall with their rear port. Best contact Amphion direct for the definitive answer - they are very helpful chaps! amphion.fi/contact-us/

You roughly have the same size of room as me. I would guess they would work, but you will need them away from the rear wall by about ,800 to 1m Putting them too close to the wall will cause boom. Make sure you can return before purchase, speakers are personal choice in terms of sound preferences. I would hear them first if I was getting them and compare to a few similarly priced speakers if it was my money.

If you really need to go close to a wall, Lumina will be the best bet with its front reflex port - they are built to work on bookcases etc
