Guys,
Do any of you have any alternative suggestions for viscoelastics instead of Sorbothane? I'm making some CLD shelves and would welcome any help. Andy

Viscoelastic is the family that sorbothane belongs to. CLD is constrained layered damping, it's a big subject.

I know Black Ravioli uses kevlar sheets and other 'stuff', but you'll never find out what exactly as they're hardly going to tell.
Very effective stuff, though.

I understand they want to protect IP and all that but it does bugger all for my understanding of what works best for my system. Yes you can try and try stuff and maybe hear a difference but I like to have at least some sort of handle on why my tweaks may have worked. Yes I know taht statement opens up a can of worms.
