For anyone who needs a cheap but decent AES cable I have found a potential bargain from the excellent Ghent Audio. Canare DA206 110 Ohm AES cable with gold Neutriks - I just ordered a 50cm cable for under £16 delivered! The cable is already cheap but they also give you free shipping from China. Some clown in the UK was asking 50 quid for one and shipping from the US is too prohibitive. www.ghentaudio.com/part/e01.html

Looking at what I'd call my "affordable" cable standard, the AudioQuest Carbon range, they want £199.00 for an AES/EBU cable, so that is one serious bargain you've found, Jules.

Well I can't tell you if this cable is a bargain or not, as it's still in Shanghai to my knowledge!
They've had a total COVID lockdown recently and the Ghent Audio website says they won't be back to work till April 25. I suspect it will take a while for them to clear their backlog so not holding my breath...

I was using a Canare DA-206 AES cable from Ghent and it is truly excellent, the best of several AES cables I have used.

Have a couple of DC cables for linear power supplies from Ghent, and will get some more at some stage.
