Happy Birthday, Chris! Nice pressie to yourself! It was a joint present from my son and my mother - they asked, I put forward the suggestion, they agreed, and I fronted up the money because I happened to be there in the shop. Currency of the realm has since come back in my direction. I received an early (pre Christmas) birthday pressie, and it's one I go to frequently. So far the only tweaking required has been the truss rod, although I might lower the height of the bridge saddle a touch. I also have some Ox bone bridge pins that need a bit of filing work to get them to fit the existing holes, but there's no rush, as the guitar sounds and plays great as is. The tweaks I plan to do are minor. |

The bridge pins I have awaiting some filing action are these. My son has a set on his Sigma OMT-1, and they really lifted the performance of the instrument. The only problem is they're bone, and take an age to sand down to fit the existing holes - I could ream the holes a touch, but it precludes going back. Muggins here sanded the bloody things down, and my fingers were rather sore by the time I finished, so this time I will be filing them down.  |
