I think Martin sums it up pretty well for me, but is far more generous in his scoring. Interesting sound effect. Terrible music. 1/5 from me I'm afraid. Well you can’t satisfy everyone. I found that it took several listens to it to fully get what was going on, as I said there are hidden melodies and rhythms, on a casual listen it may sound simply structured but it is deceptive. But then it’s probably not to everyone’s musical taste. Maybe I should have chosen the Isness, that would have probably got more of a reaction.  |

I agree that the background rhythms and melodies, while subtle, were interesting, but the lack of a strong musical structure was not to my taste. I can see why it might be chosen for soundtracks etc, but I would not be compelled to listen to it for extended periods.
Nice to have something very different though, so thanks for the selection.

Well i tried this over an extended period and maybe it still needs longer but there is other music to play so I'm resigning , i'll give it three , interesting I might return to it .

I've owned and liked this album for decades.
Lord knows why, it isn't really music. I just enjoy listening to it. It did take me a few listens to get into it, but it was kind of fascinating from the first.
I may as well give it top marks in the circumstances.

A lot to discover here if you're into this sort of thing. The track 'Vertival Pig' has caught my ear. Just listening for interesting sound patterns but especially textures.
For a sort of melody 'Room 208' is quite nice.
