I was talking today with a well respect audiophile who tends to be on another forum, he is also an electronics engineer. He told me has recently purchased one of these and in his words "My digital side has not sounded as good and a true leap in realism." I have heard his system and analogue and digital and the digital already sounded very good with the DAC he was previously using. If I recall correctly he is feeding it with a Zen and a modified CDP and DAB Tuner, don't ask me I cannot remember what they are but all sound good previously. I believe he has the KTE version. www.kitsunehifi.com/product/spring-3-dac/I thought this might be of interest to some here who are primarily digital. It's out of my league at present and I probably do not listen to streamed music enough at present to justify the cost.

The Holo is an R2R DAC and may appeal to those wanting a more analogue-like sound, highlighting fluid delivery over outright resolution. It's a personal choice.

Yes it gets very good press and user reviews. I wouldn't be prepared to spend $2-3k on a new one knowing that I'd be tempted by some new DAC tech before too long.
