I am sure the DDC will bring you system back to its true potential Damien I must visit sometime in the future as you have a interesting setup. Much as I love the Temple Monos, I think they are now the weak link in my system and at some point, I will look to get a Belles or something similar. But in the meantime, I will just enjoy the music and not worry about where I can next push the system.

My view of the good class d amps is that they include a "personality" input buffer. The core amp will always be very clean and precise (or is that their being accurate?). The personality of the sound is due to the input buffer which is why there are various approaches and options for the input opamp.

Your always welcome John, but I am with you on just enjoying the music, hence why I'm not in a rush on the return of the GD. Forgot to add, Jules loved the drum dampers hack, so thanks to Vic on that. Not sure if it's been mentioned on the forum?

It's a shame my Audio GD wasn't to hand, as that very texture in the low end is really apparent with this in place. So you could robbed of about 15% from the set up. Yes it would have been very interesting to hear the system with / without the Audio GD in place. Another time I hope!

Yes Clive, your right, actually Nord offer two options Sonic Imagery and Sparkos. After reading many reviews in the press and personal accounts on forums, it's seemed that the Sonic was universally preferred,so l went with my gutt. l have to say, all you chaps on TAS offer great advice, and l prefer, real world reviews, than the press.

Putting the AfterDark clock on the GD is a real eye opener. Hopefully l should have a few things sorted by then, wobbly subs 🤣

I wonder how much weight those silicon pads will take - instead of wobbly we might have completely squished!

Yes that was in my mind, but l believe it will be a case of doubling up or use of more of them,if needed.
