Can't get past Dylan's voice. So many have covered his songs well, but whenever I hear him singing I have to turn it off Even tried The Dylan Project recently. Too much like him

I've just found a Dylan clip from the era that I went to see him. If you like this, you're from a different planet than me. So speaks a self confessed lover of the 'sound' of music. (God bless Julie Andrews). The song, Martin. It's all about the song.

Outrageous Sir! You'll be getting a 'Spinal Tap' from me very soon Paul if you continue with these highly offensive and inflammatory remarks. Oops I thought Brits pronounce it "inflammatree". Carry on.

The performance, Martin. It's all about the performance. LOL - I've fixed that for you.

I saw Dylan in '84 and I appear to have survived unscarred.

I saw him live at Hammersmith Odeon in 1990 and he was truly bloody awful. Okay we didn't have great seats at the back by a pillar, but that was not enough to account for him being out of tune and out of time the whole way through and looking like he couldn't wait to go home. Indeed, we couldn't and left before any chance of being tortured by an encore!

To give him his fair dues, Dylan is a great songwriter. I just far prefer to hear anyone else perform them.
