No, sorry, I'm with the naysayers as well.
I played it a couple of times in full the other day and tried again today but failed.
Electronic music just leaves me cold, as a rule.
I don't understand the comparisons to Hawkwind - what's that all about? Doubting my sanity, and not having heard anything produced by Hawkwind this century, I thought I'd better sample a few albums from their more recent output to see what other people were hearing. I did that throughout the day today. Could I hear anything like this album? Nope!
Yuk, just yuk.
Thanks to Adrian though, for giving me prior warning before I hear them next!

The similarity to Hawkwind is more to do with there early outputs, Hawkwind we’re one of the first bands to se repetitive cyclic patterns and chanting interspersed with randon sounds freshm synths or saxs and guitar, I think if you listen to In Search of X it Doremi Solfa Latino you will get it, whether you like it is a different matter.
Maybe my simple mind is why I like it, or it takes me back to my primeval roots😂

I didn't really know what to expect but I thoroughly enjoyed this album - very creative soundscapes and tight editing. Love the samples, just excellent.
Look forward to unleashing it on the main system for full FX.

I've give it a 3/5 , when I play it I think great but it's novelty wares off after a bit and an hour is far too long , so yeah ok in short bursts .

It is rather good, some quite interesting tracks, I only got through about three and half tracks and then a furniture delivery turned up, only been waiting for 6 months for a dining table and chairs. I have bookmarked it in Roon and definitely will go back and listen properly, I am rather liking Roon running on the Mac with the microRendu. I may have to invest in a dedicated Roon network player, Martin at the Audiostore(Vortexbox) does some reasonably priced configurable ones. |
