What is this bit? Ethernet? S/PDIF? I was thinking that S/PDIF optical or single co-ax can't really handle 24/192 bandwidths. AES probably can. If ethernet, is it 100M or gigabit?

The Fidata acts as a LAN isolator (in a similar way to the EtherRegen) and I have selected 100M for the output (it can run gigabit, but they recommend 100M), so it is ethernet to the NDX.

Can you force the NDX to 100M rather than auto-select? Sometimes helps.

I don't see anything in the manual about that, but I will look when I'm back. However, it renders 24/192 files from the Synology backup (as well as the Fidata server) without any problems and only has a problem with a stream from UPnP on the Synology.
