I tried and old power bank to power my R-Pi/Allo Boss last night and was surprised with the results.
The power bank I have is a very low powered one and I'm sure won't last long, can anyone recommend a suitable option please.
Thanks.

They change models all the time. The last one I bought was a few years ago, a 10,000mAH one. I'm sure they come in larger sizes now. Make sure it can provide at least 5V 2A for startup with the Allo, preferably more.

Thanks for the recommendation chaps, how many hours do you get per full charge?

Sorry I've no idea but I've found it more than adequate - it was the highest battery spec I could find at the time.

Same here. I've never gone over four or five hours listening before recharging it.

I used to do the same. It would give me a whole listening session's worth and still have loads left. I put it back on charge the moment I had finished.

Just a note about battery life, I use one rated at 18000 for my Pi. It's made by EC Technology and is very slim perhaps only 5mm thick but wider and longer that the normal type - about the dimensions of a smaller sized tablet. I use this in my office all day, every working day and have to charge it after 3 days.

Morning Chaps, I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these and have a question for you. Are you able to turn the power bank off when not using rather than having to disconnect completely? There looks to be an on/off button on the side.

Yes or if you close volumio down properly it turns it’s self off , well at least mine does,I use two of these one for the tinker board and one for the reclocker,I no it’s a bit over the top as using one would power both.

Thanks. Do you use the side button to turn back on or do you need to disconnect the cable and then plug back in?
