An album and band I found following a Gustavo Santaolalla rabbit down a hole. Loved his Motorcycle Diaries soundtrack so I followed him to Bajofondo. Entirely different genre to that. Tango not an area many of us would have aimed for, nor Electro Tango But it hits so many spots for me and I think there is great appeal for many of us. Give it multiple plays to get it under your skin. Great music played and made very well by Argentinians and Uruguayans Been playing regularly for a few years. Still in my album playlist with 2 of their others, very different remixes of the same tracks. Same but different. Wikipedia says "considered to be an eclectic mix of French house, Argentine tango, trip-hop, drum and bass and chill-out" Genres often puzzle me. I say it's wonderful For a quick listen Allmusic has 30 second track samples Spotty has the album, listed under "Various" Great to watch them on YouTube playing live so well and having a good time Enjoy !

"Quite nice in parts," for me, Mike. It sounds too much like a watered-down Gotan Project, who I like. I've just put La Revancha Del Tango on, and it has (to me, at least) much more "depth" somehow, and more "life," to it.

So, why is this listed under Various Artists, are Bajofondo Tango Club not an actual group?
EDIT: Qobuz, confusingly, list the genre as Jazz!

Track listing shows different people so maybe that
I'd never seen it as Various before

I gave it a short listen while at work Mike it sounds a lot like this one group I love called Los Amigos Invisibles. From Venezuela they are amazing.
Songs like 'En Cuatro' and 'La Vecina' are worth a listen. Ill PM you some absolute bangers though Mike from a few groups if you'd like. Though they aren't as much like this group you've chosen here. Check out Los Amigos Invisibles though!

i found it an interesting listen and initially thought it would grow on me and then I became bored, I quite liked Mi Corazón and Esperándote, but the others not so much. Sorry Mike but not too keen on this one.

Mike I've been love with a few tracks from this album for 2 years and only now thought of adding them here.
Any good?

For some reason I never voted on this and have had cause to revise my opinion of them a lot of late.
I do prefer the Mar Dulce album so am going to give this a 4/5: Pretty Good.
