Not sure where else to post a random “hello all, it’s been years” post but this looks as good a thread as any! Hope everyone is well and surviving, all good here apart from the rapid passing of time and still waiting for the lottery win! Hi Alex, it's great to hear from you. I hope all is well with you and yours? Your girls must be a bit grown up by now?

Hi Martin, one girl (Tamzin, became a teenager on Tuesday! 😬) and William, was 9 in June. Tamzin has a vinyl and CD system in her room from some of my spares, William thinks records and CDs are Ninja weapons!
I finally relented and five weeks ago we got a puppy (Syd, a black cockatoo) which has strangely given me more opportunity to jump on forums and such like, so thought I’d pop by and see how everyone is. 🙂

Whoah - it's Alex!!!! How the hell are you, me old fruit? It's really great to hear from you again. You'll be needing that lottery win, as I know your propensity for waking up in the morning to discover that you're the proud new owner of classic American cars! I hope the family are all well.

Ha ha, I’d forgotten about that tipsy eBay moment! The irony is I would probably have doubled my money by now if it had gone through, well, if I’d survived after telling Sue what I’d done! We’re all good thanks, crazy couple of years after moving and all the COVID shenanigans but everyone fit and well, hope you and yours are too. 🙂

I think the very apt expression is “I was sold a pup” - he is an absolute nutter, but Sue told me he’ll grow out of it. Every cockapoo owner I’ve since spoken to says they don’t!

This particular one certainly hasn't coming 8-10 (No, hang on he's a Cavapoo- duh) From what I've heard nutty runs in Cavapoo and Cockapoo lines The 2 years and calm down may or may not happen

A teenager already, wow! I'll bet she keeps you busy I suppose a 7" single could be used like a throwing star?? Nice to see you call in, hope there is time for music in your life.

Things I like about Farcebook #1 on a very short list.
Last night I was playing Al Stewart's "Uncorked," and remarked both here and in the Al Stewart Fans And Bandmates group over at Farcebook about how mindblowing Dave Nachmanoff's guitar playing is on it. Somebody remarked that they'd seen him with Al, and Tim Renwick. I said that Tim Renwick was on of my favourite guitarists since the seventies, and thought no more about it.
When I looked in this morning there was a "He's one of my favourite guitarosts too," type post, and a "Thanks Paul," both from Dave Nachmanoff.
Feedback is great when it works in both directions like that.

Sending best wishes to Judas Priest's Richie Faulkner who has gone to hospital mid-tour with “major medical heart condition issues”.

That is nuts. It's only luck it seems that the oncoming car didn't collide with him.

This week CNN released a photo taken by the photographer Anil Prabhakar in the forest in Indonesia. The image shows an orangutan, currently under threat of extinction, while stretching out his hand to help a geologist who fell into a mud pool during his search. When the photographer uploaded the photo, he wrote this as a caption: “In a time when the concept of humanity dies, animals lead us to the principles of humanity.” 9/20/21

It does rather beg the question of why the guy with the camera stood back and waited for the orangutan to come along rather than rescuing his mate. " No, you'll be fine, just stay there and wait for an orangutan to come along". I'd be bloody livid.

It was probably the work of that Black Macaque again! It's clearly moved on from 'selfies'.
