That letter is wonderful.
I've enjoyed a few of his novels in my time.

I do try to post some stuff to make people smile, as well as swear. I went through a "phase" of reading everything I could lay my hands on by Vonnegut, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Noticed a small rabbit in the front garden early this morning. No big surprise we have more than a few rabbits around. Not sure if this one was ok as movements were a bit odd.
Few minutes later I saw a jackdaw going mental just down the drive from there. Puzzled, I watched to see what was going on, thought it might be attacking a small bird. Even if I moved very fast I doubt I would be able to help as I was upstairs.
Too late anyway. The jackdaw had killed the rabbit. That was one way of starting the day.
Nature, red in tooth and claw

A 1950s Warsaw Pact era map of southern England. Aparently, the Red Army captured all of the German mapping of the UK at the end of WW2 and based their own mapping off it, which they then augmented. Different countries were allocated to different members of the Warsaw Pact according to the head of the UK Directorate of Military Survey. Poland got the UK.

It makes Bexhill almost seem exotic! And I'm rather taken with their version of Winchelsea too.

I quite liked STENFED LE-HOUP, and I'm sure Liverpool played BYSZEPS-STOFED in the European Cup qualifiers back in the eighties. I'm impressed with what they did to Stansted Mountfitchet too, but surely SAUFEND-ON-SJI is just written phoenetically?

You wouldn't get Tanbrydz-Lelz too easily.

So good to see that the UK shipbuilding industry post-Brexit is based on the same principles as other areas of the economy: fantasy!

When I ran my print company I stumbled into an area that I *thought* was just pain, until I realised there was money to be made. Shipping, mostly courier as time sensitive around the world. The customers didn't want to be involved. It was easy enough to do and became easier as technology evolved We shipped tons and tonnes and the shipping companies were desperate to get our business so we managed 50% discount on list prices Split the difference with customers and made a lot of money.
As paper dwindled we went into CD duplication, still with international shipping

Unbelievable. Tested positive for covid today after woke up with an extreme fever Saturday. Test was at home will get another test tomorrow at hospital.
Everyone at my workplace had covid before, a few months ago before I joined. My only issue is I couldn't afford to take 10 days off if this workplace follows current covid protocols.

Thanks very much guys. I appreciate it. I've been educated recently on how to try to get over colds fast.
No cold/hot drinks, only warm. Showers, warm. Lots of tea. Made a huge amount of tea with lemon in a pot, and practiced inhaling the vapors and then drink it after.
