The enjoyment of music is a subjective experience. None of us have exactly the same taste. This thread is tongue in cheek so please do not take offence. My first would have to be the Grateful Dead. Chris B has tried a few times to get me into the band and I no matter what he has tried I have not found anything I like. I just do not get them Next up would have to Hot Tuna I just find them completely boring Trying to listen to Hot Tuna I find myself being disengaged within the first few bars Magma are another band that does absolutely nothing for me What are the bands or artist that you just do not get and for those that like them why do you like them.

There are a few bands I don't especially like / get, but I'll restrict myself to a couple of highly acclaimed outfits that do nothing for me: Steely Dan and Can. As far as i am concerned, both are just utterly dull and I do not get why people rave about them.

I am with you with Can I like a few Steely Dan tracks larry solo on kid Charlemagne for instance and reelin the years but on the whole I don't find myself wanting to listen to them

I love Steely Dan and Supertramp!
Adele does absolutely nothing for me, despite loving the female voice.
Almost all opera leaves me totally cold. Modern jazz likewise.
Sorry to say, most Grateful Dead and all Frank Zappa are not for me.

Broadly I don't like twee little girly sounds of which there seem to be very many

I can't think of anyone except, as mentioned in the thread, The Pixies. Usually it's the other way round. Obviously there are loads of late 20 th century/21 st century artists I don't get, but that's mostly because they're rubbish.

Mike likes Low, which surprises me.
If he doesn't like twee girly voices, he should adore London Grammar. What a voice!
