Bit of a reshuffle in the house has landed me with a new music room! Boost!
Gotta share it with all her craft stuff but it's neat and tidy and ensures it may get dusted every so often so that's not too bad!
I'll share a few pics when I get a wee bit more time but it's much better. Room before was smaller but I'm now in a room that's about 10x12 - speakers are against the wall in the corners and that suits fine. It's always been like that so I simply buy speakers that suit that. My fave AN Ks are running just now and sound excellent as ever. They're sat on SE24 stands that are lead shot filled as Is the soundstyle rack my amps are on. They're set up to be easy to swap round too. Power wise all I've got is a wall socket conditioner thing that was about £12 and a surge protected extension block. It's not just SQ with the power I like the added safety aspect too.
Thick carpet and a few rugs make up the floor and my chair is about 7 feet from the speakers and central in the room. Speakers are slightly toed in.
It's fantastic. A bigger wider soundstage obviously and plenty detail coming through! Room acoustics are pretty good too. It's not ideal...stuff between the speakers ...but well, that's life.
I can't really think of anything to make it better now so time to relax.

Also added a little 10mm underlay to the walls near the speakers. Not permanent but it certainly makes a difference.

I predict some confusion! We have two threads with the same name. I'll edit the title of this one to add you name, if that's OK Chris.
