Oooo, Kralk speakers. Very nice. Only heard them at shows but they always impressed me. Nice room, too, it's good to have your own space! Good to see you here at TAS as well, Mike.

cheers Jerry, the Kralks are very very good indeed, i'd like to hear them up against a pair of L100's just to see if the extra £2.5k is worth spending, i would suspect not and looking at them you'd think that all they would be good for is pumping out rock at ear bleeding volumes, but surprisingly they are fine all rounders, i think the price on these will increase since Alan Clark the founder of Kralk Audio has sold the business, he's still involved apparently so hopefully the same high quality will be maintained, but prices must increase even selling them at double the price would still be cheap.

Ah, interesting, I didn't know the Kralk originator had sold out. They were priced way low for the performance on offer, I agree. Have to wait and see what happens, I guess.
The speakers had the open naturalness of the old BBC designs, but with impressive dynamics and the light & life of the music allowed through. A cunning combination!

Nice simple layout and well laid out room, Mike. That Audiomods arm looks gorgeous. It is rather nice Martin, i've noticed Geoff has put his prices up so one will set you back over £1k now but still an absolute bargain, i don't think you'd like the speakers though they're probably a bit "fruity" for your taste.

I've only heard Kralks once and I couldn't tell much from the hotel room.

Nice looking set up Mike Love the shape of the speakers. My long tall TADs sound superb but lack chunkiness ! Before the Kralks I had a pair of Monitor Audio PMC705's and like a lot of modern speakers they have a very narrow front section so the biggest unit you could fit in it was a 6", they were lovely speakers with tremendous mid and HF, but the bass always seemed a bit forced, the Kralks are a more traditional design and not particularly wife friendly, but they do make all the right noises.

When I was contemplating buying the Ushers, I was concerned at the twin bass drivers 'only' being 11". LOL - silly me!
