Off to have a look at a pair of these today. Going to try for £25. Seem to be decent and look like they’ll pair up with valves and an old Armstrong 626 Ive got.

Hi Chris, it's nice to see you around again.
I remember Ministers as being quite big and comfy sounding. I suspect they'd go nicely with a quite modest power amp. Are the bass drivers OK? The surrounds probably won't need changing, as I think they would be rubber rather than foam. Check the edges, though, to make sure they are still attached all the way around. The glue may just possibly have failed in a spot or two.

Hello ChrisB! Yeah been doing outside stuff what with having the weather here - been great! Tell ya what too - you’d LOVE my garden just now! Took your advice and cut the eucalyptus back!
Looked the speakers over before buying and while the cases are a bit rough then the rest of them seem fine. I’ll faff about a bit with them today and see what happens.

Got these hooked up last night and they sound great! Bit lighter and a touch less bass than the Castle but a great sound!

I’ve put them on the end of a KT88 amp and an Armstrong 626. I prefer them on the Armstrong. Just sound right
