Tom has a Pro-Ject Streambox that performs very well. Worth a look?
I'm not sure about Amazon music as the system is quite new.

Not necessarily, something like a Volumio Primo has a built-in DAC, but it'll blow your budget.

Those Project boxes seem to be over budget so in that vein if you can stretch a bit just get a Bluesound Node 2i, it'll do all the things you ask and more. If you cannot stretch then just hang on for a Node 2 coming up used.

The Bluesound looks like a very comprehensive streamer. Does Amazon Music, which Tim requires.

Agreed, unless you want to go down the rabbit hole it's all you'll ever need IMHO. In fact I'd even say it survives quite some distance down the rabbit hole too......

Make sure it's the Node 2i rather than the Node 2 😉

It is hard finding equipment that will do Amazon You could get something like the IFi Zen that will use Bluetooth and also work as a DAC certainly in your budget. So you just stream from your phone or tablet. If you want something better you will probably have to sacrifice having Amazon

I have a cheap android phone that has blue tooth and a virgin hub ,will the unit pick up my hub and would i be able to listen to Amazon music ?. I'm grateful to you helping a real novice mate

You need to know if your android phone is Bluetooth 5 When I get home I show a video how to pair. Basically anything that plays on your phone Amazon YouTube Spotify Tidal will be played through the Zen. If you get this you need to factor in a power supply as the one supplied is crap. A power bank will not work as it does not draw enough current I would get a 12v motorbike battery and a 5v converter or get the 5v power supply IFi sells separately. The unit has a built in DAC so you would then input into your amplifier I have to be honest I don't see this as great sounding unit despite the good reviews but for playing everything you want it certainly works

Bite the bullet - Bluesound Node 2i
Anything else for your needs would be false economy and likely to disappoint in the long run.
