Carling MCB with a 1000% mark up £90 would get a box of 10 Good spot, Scott, if the D series really is the same thing. |

MCBs are produced in vast Qtys producing your own version & global tests for UL/Csa would cost a fortune
cheaper just to brand label from merlin gerin , Abb or carling could be slightly tweaked version
£100 would get a micro BMU isolation transformer or £200 200w battery inverter & power off grid
Powered my system from a off grid PV battery system for several years now no RFI , EMC , brown outs , rock solid 230v / 50hz & even plays in a power cut ( at low volumes )
5kw & surplus sold to the grid no problem powering house & speakers 3,300wpc active monitors

The GigaWatt do look the same, but apparently have all silver plated parts. The 2 visible screws and cable clamps are silver plated, but the insides can’t be seen. |

Think I might try a Carling D series MCB from Mouser. Shame that I can't find a similar RCB from Carling.

Quite happy to do an in depth run down through PV inverters as they have their own issues having worked on a few in my time.
Scott what is the total draw you are using when playing your system and does the inverter power anything else other than the system when it is being used?
