5 years ago I was most likely using CD (Micromega player - long gone) to a Radford STA25 series 3 amp (long gone) into Harbeth HL5ES (long gone). Now Roon/Tidal streaming via a Radford STA25 Series 5 and Trilogy 968 into Tannoy Berkeleys (Jerry has not got to me yet ).

Added stuff:
Audionote ANK/LX loudspeakers.

Project Phono Box RS phono stage.
Art Audio Vinyl one phono stage.
Audionote Arm 3.
Hana ML cartridge.

Alternate this stuff between my listening room and the lounge system.

Couple of things remain the same. Valve amps remain the same but a few pairs of speakers have come and gone.
The AN Ks are going nowhere and I’m thinking these Omar’s are keepers too.
Source is slightly different - a Chromecast audio is now in use along with Bluetooth. Still the weak link in the chain but nothing better(easy)has come along. Have to work on that.

Among the small things, all spikes are gone from my system, banished and never to return. The same with rhodium plugs.

Only changes are room, - beefier amps on the two bass channels. -move away from Laptop Flac/WaveIO/I2S playing to Qobuz/RPi+Kali/I2S streaming. -Linear power supplies everywhere. Sound wise. The beefier amps restored lost bass due to room change / improved it. The front end definitely improved the sound quality of digital playback. Better definition, detail and slam. Analogue remains unchanged. Also tried grounding / vibration draining boxes and found them to be of no benefit in my system, or my friends multiway horn system. Forgot about the sand texture upper mid horn coverings. And I've just gone from slow and ponderous 15" mid bass drivers (90Hz to 350Hz) to fast and detailed 12" drivers - with associated lengthening rework of the horn throats! I've been meaning to do the latter for 6 years!

A little addition ( and l mean a little addition) purchased a JJ Electric ECC83S valve for window position for my Vincent SV-237MK Hybrid amp and was truly stunned at how good this cheap as chips valve is- in the past l have more expensive and NOS valves in there and this is my favourite.... so purchased three more for The Vinyl One phono stage with the same fantastic results- these replaced some more expensive valves.... these valves are incredibly musical, smooth and very good and controlled bass- all in all a budget winner!
