Hi, Has anyone spent time with the D7.2 ? (the revised D7)
Or upgraded from the D7 to D7.2 or know anyone who has, where thoughts can be got ?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Hey Martin, How you doing? I'm good thanks, working from home a lot and keeping safe from all things COVID Hope you and yours are good and keeping safe. BTW - Been meaning to ask for ages if you still have your hot rodded 1210 ? I sold mine last year after souping it up to the hilt. Decided it had to be an SP10 MKII, so i put the funds towards realising that. Been buzzing ever since - sensational !

No, Rob, I sold my turntable in order to fund the best digital streaming front end I could assemble.
Glad you're enjoying the SP10, fab turntable. I do miss my old Dynavector arm, it was so gorgeous to look at.

Glad you went where you're gut took you, was the same for me with the SP10 - you just know and those itches need to be scratched....... Yes indeed, that Dynavector was/is a serious arm !

Most certainly was Jules, he's da man, as you know - I'm LOVIN it !, been a lot of late nights and daily spinning of da black stuf, as standard behaviour Am I allowed to attach a link from other forum ? save me going through the whole upload/Flickr malarky again....

Nice, Rob. Is that the Technics arm? Thanks Martin. Not the standard arm found the SL12XX's. It's a Technics EPA-250 - Lovely arm, I had to have the Technics vta s ystem back which I've always said is a peach. A great aid in regard to dialling in the sweet-spot vta. Priceless with the types of stylus profiles I use. www.vinylengine.com/library/technics/epa-250.shtml

Thanks Jules and Yep, love wood both sonically and aesthetically, applied in hi-fi - All well informed chosen pieces that fit my own personal taste and requirements in that regard I've always liked a tall rack, so plenty wood there too

That weight looks nice! How heavy is it? Cheers ! 290g, 360g and 470g - My previous heavily modded Technics 1210 had the very substantial Mike New Bearing so i went 470g, the SP10 bearing and torque dont even know its there

Nice. I found with my 1210 (similar to yours I think, with MN bearing and platter) that ~500g was best, but using the absurdly heavy Tenuto mat now so switched to a clamp.

Sorry Rob, I believe I've heard the 7.2 at a recent show but do not have sufficient experience with familiar music to comment.
