Hopefully some of you with software experience can answer this question.
I have a USBridge that I have successfully used with two 120Gb SSD's, one into each standard USB port. On trying to use just one 1Tb SSD with 600Gb of data the USBridge just keeps 'scanning', sometimes showing the listings under My Music, sometimes not. I have tried everything I can think of, external supply for the SSD, all files in the root, leaving it for days.
The USBridge uses the Sparky board and is running Volumio. Is there a maximum for the USB port?

I have had a reply from Allo, there isn't a limit on the external drive size. However they can't look at the problem because their office is shut, because of covid-19.
Bugger. I have updated to the latest Volumio release and it will index part of the big drive but not all of it. Bugger.

Is it one big drive or split into volumes?

I've not used my usbridge for while but I didn't have indexing problems with around 1k albums aside from the counter not bring accurate. The volumio counter stopped counting but the albums were all there.
Is there a new sparky validated volumio released? The one I have is rather old.

It's one big drive Martin, what are you suggesting making smaller volumes?

The opposite, with split volumes I thought it might miss some.
Best to try the latest Volumio build.

I have already updated to the latest, thanks. At least I can still use the smaller dives atm.

Just a thought - how is the big volume formatted? What size? You may need to experiment with partitioning it as GPT and/or formatting as NTFS.
