I don't mean something huge, like "I wish I was ~ insert famous name here~" More like, I wish I could learn to play guitar like ~ Insert famous name here~ Me, I wish I had the self-discipline and the dedication it takes to write something "grown up," like a novel. I'd love to find out if I really do have the talent I've always wondered about. It's a shame I'm too lazy to ever find out.  Your turn. |

I wish I could noodle on the guitar. However, unless I was good enough I wouldn't want to listen to me when I could listen to the professionals do it so much better.

I would have been an amazing guitarist (!) if I had been bothered to learn. No excuses having been a classically trained musician in my youth. As I said in another thread, I have the gear and time, just need the application ...

Right now, I'd like the time and the headspace to work on my PhD - with term having ended and so no teaching to worry about, this time was supposed to be a chance to get my head down, but in the present circumstances my childcare duties have had to really ramp up, and time for my own work has evaporated.

I wish I was multilingual , nothing fancy , I have a spattering of Spanish and wish I'd kept it up but you do need to live in the country to speak it properly . Be a whizz on the piano , never even tried but I do admire pianists .

When I was young, and didn't know better, I used to wish I could be invisible. I could then travel around the world taking out all the baddies (as sort of The Man From U.K.) - and the world would be a better place.
At some point I did grow out of it.

I'd like to have more patience and a longer attention span. I tried to learn the Piano and Guitar when I was a kid but just lost interest when I couldn't automatically play like Eric Clapton or Elton John.
In general, I would like to have more patience for my fellow man.
