I have just finished this : a historical novel which follows on from "Dublin". I didn't realise that I knew absolutely nothing about Ireland's history , what a terrible times the people have had over the centuries , I felt quite ashamed I was English . All St Patrick's fault of course , now if they had all been protestants what a different place it would/might have been. There again if Henry VIII hadn't changed over............

I've just started 'Gorilla Mindset' by Mike Cernovich, looks promising. I'm also in the middle of The Ragged-Trousered Philanthropists at the moment. Very interesting read. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ragged-Trousered_PhilanthropistsJust finished 'When Britain Went Bust - The 1976 IMF Crisis', having heard the author speak at The Library of Mistakes a fortnight ago. Currency devaluations are far from rare in our history, but this one was a real zinger.

Ireland Awakening carries on the time line , I've read them all bar Sarum , New York is excellent.

We are right between Frimley and St. Peters in Chertsey
Frimley is one of the best hospitals in the country. St. Peters was doing very badly but has improved a lot
Parking at either is a joke. Queue to park, sometimes out on the main road.
Big thing about the book which I cannot recommend highly enough is to research treatment. EG. Go to the hospital that does 50-100 of those procedures a year, not the one that does 1 or 2 !

I am currently re-reading 'Driving Over Lemons: An Optimist in Andalucia' by Chris Stewart, who was a drummer and one of the founding members of Genesis.
