Our Sainsburys is a touch empty on staples, but nowhere near the devastation of the Tesco shown above. We even managed to get some bread today. Otherwise, we'll make do with what we have. Can't you just put the loose pages in a file until the emergency is over, Martin?

I saw mangos in Sainsbury's on Saturday. So I bought two instead of just the one.

My wife bought a 2KG bag of peanuts still in their shell. So we'll have something to snack on to kill the boredom if London is put in lock down.

We already had plenty of loo rolls, IMO anyway The boss tops up when they are on offer.
I top up on all long date items when they are silly prices, like 50% off Hope to get the Shredded Wheat I didn't get last week tomorrow as that is currently 50% off ..... !

Relying on deliveries, as I do, I've ordered loo rolls with no success lately. I've just bought a multi-pack of 8 "Regina Blitz" kitchen rolls - which I use anyway - from Amazon. I've now got an emergency backup if my loo rolls run out. Desperate times indeed.

Anyone who is panic buying is a moron, simple as that. It is pathetically selfish!

Coronavirus: Iceland stores to open early for older shoppersSome Iceland stores will open one hour early to allow older shoppers to buy food when it is quieter amid the coronavirus outbreak. Iceland said it was not a company policy, but it was allowing individual stores to decide how best to meet the needs of shoppers in their local areas. The move comes as supermarkets continue to try to stop customers stockpiling. Several supermarkets have limited the sales of certain products to avoid them selling out completely. Iceland's Kennedy Centre store in West Belfast will let older customers shop on their own between 08:00 and 09:00 every day from Tuesday. "We just want to make sure the experience is as stress-free as possible," store manager Danny Burke said. MORE

We tried to arrange a delivery (as we do every weekend with Sainsbury's) for Saturday and nothing is available. We looked and there are no available slots for the next 8 weeks.
Following that, we looked at available slots with Tesco, Asda and Ocado and again no slots available this weekend or the coming weeks.
Being an at risk person, that means that I, or my wife/son have to go to the Supermarket to get food or rely on take away.
Again shows the world at present to be so totally selfish!

Just checked to see we have slots available from 8th April. The boss always works 3 weeks ahead as we have been caught out before

I'd definitely stay at home Paul if you can and have someone else do a shop if at all possible! There might be local people volunteering to help as there are in many communities now.
