I caved last night. It was late, I was tired, I'm going to pretend I was drunk... Bugger, I didn't mean to say that out loud. I increased my "Echo" stable by adding an Echo Show 8 at sixty quid off. It's got an 8.0" 1280 x 800 touch-screen and, obviously, Alexa built in. I did NOT spend the extra TWENTY-FIVE QUID for the add-on plastic stand, even though it's rated 4.6 stars out of 5.

You could get all your Echoes to talk to each other and just check out altogether!

Read up on it. Can't see what I would do with it, sensibly that is I might be too dense of course

The 8" touch screen " should" be good enough to watch telly/videos in bed, lazy bugger that I am. TBH I'll probably end up only using it for the odd TV program, and for the BBC News 24. They make damn good alarm clocks too. Just tell 'em what time you want to be woken up and they oblige. Obviously, it allows me to turn lights on and of from the comfort of my bed too. Short explanation: It's a gadget. I'm a bloke.
