I'm well aware the source for me is the weakest link in my system - a Bluetooth connection and Chrome HiFi are being used - and while good I know fine well it can be improved. Quite fancy trying an external DAC to use with my istuff and Tidal/Spotify etc and I'm thinking of this rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F272418310441Cheap,yeah but supposed to be good and open to modification. Think I'll gain much over the standard Apple DAC in the istuff? Or even over a wired headphone out? Gotta be worth £30 to try eh?

I doubt you could go wrong with trying that, Chris. Watch for any import duty/VAT.
Also, see John's USB reclocker for what may be a possible future upgrade.

Had a look at them. They're all about 7x the price and I'm not sure if they work with istuff

Bought it,pluggedit in and surprise surprise it didn't work. Too much power required.
Oh well,it was only as much as I was prepared to lose so tough.
