OK folks, I'm putting together the rota for the next round of Album Choice and I have almost all of the previous offenders already asking for more punishment. nicholas - do you fancy another spot this time around? Of course, if anyone who hasn't played before wishes to do so, I will happily include you, but you need to let me know within the next week please. A couple of the newer members ought to be persuaded to join in. I'm thinking of palace and orange55. Also maybe HD Music & Test (another (...ahem...) newish member). Alternatively, or perhaps, additionally, you might be persuaded to join in with the Classical Album Choice. If you're interested, then please give julesd68 a shout. |

ChrisB , Happy to be involved ... how does it work though? :-) Great! I'll quote the first post in this thread, which briefly explains how it works... If you would like to host an album of your choice for discussion and voting, please let us know in this thread and we'll add you to the rota. When your month turn comes up, start a new thread describing the album, the reasons why it is important to you, some links to allow members to listen to it and set up a vote. We will be on hand to help you with all these things should you need. OK, so I manage the rota - we have 2 albums each month, meaning one complete cycle generally lasts about 6 months. I will publish the rota which allocates the date that each participant will host their own chosen album. About a week before your slot is about to come up, I will send you a reminder, which gives you time to think of an album and put together a thread starter designed to get us all rushing to have a listen. We run a poll which allows members to allocate scores between 1-5 for the album and the content is discussed. Take a look here to see previous album choices - it's never too late to participate! As mentioned earlier, Jules also runs a parallel Album Choice for Classical music. |

When we get new members joining the rota, I try to give them a slot fairly early in the rotation so you don't have to wait too long for your first selection.
