Picked up a new one although no longer made.
Had heard results before and heard improvements so happy to have a go.
Detailed listen on the system playing complete CD. All fine.
Played first track once fully, twice partially.
CD into Nespa for a 30 second burst of light.
Back to play
First few bars I thought the sound improved subtly. Then I realised what was going on. More body in the mid range, clarity and bass oomph.
This is a better CD.
From Nespa reviews some albums will sound better than others. Will report back
First test

For those, like me, who don't have a clue what a "Nespa Professional Optical Disc Finalizer" is, or does... LINK

I have one myself and can verify the claims for improved sound quality.
Mike: you need to mark the discs (I put a black dot near the hub) so that you know which ones are treated. You don't want to repeatedly treat the same CD.

If you do, I wouldn't mind giving one a go, Martin. Mike, if you use a green dot you'll end up with a couple of notes sounding better!

James Gang - Thirds Track 5 compared. Big step up in detail from piano, acoustic guitar and brass. Greater clarity yes, not quite what I expected though I can live with it

Surprisingly good results on all CDs so far
Sonny Landreth - Grant Street James Gang - Thirds Bajofondo Tango Club Presents Supervielle Cream - Wheels of Fire Mogwai - Happy songs for happy people Bajofondo Presente
all delivering differently with the overall impression of more lovely music

Ran through and treated the rest of the current playlist while I had the room to myself.
After a couple I thought I had a handle on what would happen to the next.
Best I managed was an approximation. The Nespa broadly delivers a veil removal and a perceived increase in volume, greater dynamic range, more presence Well made albums or not the rest is in the hands of fate Some CDs supply so much more detail, others amazing bass, instruments gaining clarity
It's all good anyway !
Hoping a Sharpie pen will deliver a dry, non solvent dot to the inner of the CD Anyone have a better idea ?

I have had a few of the devices for over 15 years, they certainly have a positive effect on the sound imho

Underlining the improvement as I start back through the playlist.
More music coming through. Helps they are mostly albums I can't get enough of
Surprising what can be dug out of the live album from Cream - Wheels of Fire

More CDs added to the list of being Nespa'd
More surprising details revealed
Joan as Policewoman - Real Life Even female vocal (!) with just piano sounds richer and more detailed. Clearer on background strings
Wire - 1985 - 1990 : The A list Wasn't expecting much but got a fuller sound with more detail
More music delivered and I like both albums even more after the treatment

Reviews on the Nespa suggest 30 seconds is the optimum to blast CDs. Wot I done. Speaking to Tony on the phone discussing the Nespa. "Try an extra 30 seconds on the playing side and 60 seconds on the printed side" he said Worth a bash as he has great experience of Nespa First up Sonny Landreth - Grant Street Play, adjust volume, play 1st track again 30 seconds on the play side Another layer stripped away. 60 seconds on the printed side Another layer stripped away, perhaps not quite so much Mad Volume adjusted up higher More music. Love it <later> This is wonderful. Helps I'm currently on my own with the volume set high enough

No, there's a concern that too much can affect tracking. That's why they must be marked to avoid repeat treatment.
