From HFS forum this morning.
Richard Dunn

Nadia has asked me to tell you all that Richard has died after a short illness.
His funeral service took place yesterday at Eltham Crematorium. Nadia's wishes were that this should be kept private.
He leaves a legacy which will no doubt be described in response to this news. For me it is a legacy of music, ideas and a community which is, to some extent, embodied in this forum but those who new him in person will know there was much more.
Richard's passing, it does without saying, was not expected. However, NVA and this forum will continue. Richard had passed on a good deal of his construction knowledge to others who have been, for some time now, working with Richard to manufacture product. All existing orders are being fulfilled. A group of us are forming to work out future arrangements.

R.I.P. Richard, and my deepest sympathies to Nadia. I only ever spoke to Richard via the telephone, and I probably can't add anything to what's already been said elsewhere. You will be missed, Richard. Our hobby, his passion, is poorer for his passing.

My condolences to his wife. I hope that plans to continue production of NVA products will succeed, as more people deserve to hear what they can do.

Well done the mods for allowing this to stay; opinions aside, a life and it's achievements are bigger than piffling arguments on the internet.
RIP Mr Dunn.

How terribly sad................
Richard and I often completely disagreed but we also had many things in common.
What is so sad is that he didn't have a final rant, he wasn't able to say goodbye and that we were not able to say goodbye to Richard.
R.I.P Richard

I knew Richard had been unwell but this news still comes as a shock.
I met him a couple of times when I was an NVA owner and found him to be most helpful and congenial.

I didn’t know Richard myself, but it’s always sad to hear of someone’s passing. My condolences to his family, RIP.

I spent a very pleasant afternoon with Richard a few years ago, just him and me, at his place, listening to music and chatting. Also quite a few hifi loans and purchases of NVA equipment, all of which were conducted with the utmost professionalism and courtesy.
I didn't get on with his chosen online forum persona.
Without doubt Richard was a leading light in British hifi - often controversial and innovative in his designs.
RIP Richard.

Just got back home from this years DIY meeting at Owston Hall.
I said a short few words about the man himself followed by Lindsay who also knew Richard.
A few glasses were raised last night for him as well.

It's 12 months to the day since Richard passed away. It hardly seems possible.
