...which we sort of were, in the Jeff Beck thread.
Danielle Nicole was the first woman to win the Blues Foundation's [2014] Blues Music Award for Best Instrumentalist, Bass. Her "Cry No More" album was nominated for a Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album, and Blues blast magazine named it winner of the Contemporary Blues Album of the Year for 2018
Earlier this month Danielle Nicole received Blues Music Awards for both Contemporary Blues Female Artist and Bass Instrumentalist.

They are very good.
Our Jeff likes playing with the ladies more than any bloke I have seen bringing a few into the bright light.
Whenever I see and hear females playing well it still seems a bit odd to this old geezer. Think we need a generation or two to get past accidental sexism.
Female vocalists seem ok and female classical soloists so just a question of seeing more females and getting used to it
Accidental sexist mode off

Have you seen this "duet" between Jeff and Tal?

Yep, Tal I think is my favourite of all Jeff's players, but they're all good really.

Tal has natural rhythm and empathy with Jeff's licks like no other.

What I love about Tal is the melodic sense she makes how she fills out the melody line in the Beatles cover they play together is fantastic and how she locks into the drums with effortless ease

First in the list, Adele. I nearly stopped then and there!
Useful list, thanks.

Check out the second half of this. Well, actually, check out the whole thing, but the bass player doesn't come in until after 2:54. The solo's at around 4:15 And a little bonus. I think I'm in love.

Sheryl Crow played bass when we saw her live at Hyde Park. I mention her as I was playing her second album today, on which she apparently played bass.

Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads fame is another very good lady bass player and is very prominent in there music, often pumping out some complex rhythms.
