So what service do you use for streaming music, if any?
Whether it be Spotify, iTunes, Grooveshark or something else, let us know what you use and why. Also tell us if you pay for it and whether you have it streaming to your main system.

I don't stream music at all.
I am of the generation that wants to have the music to hand. I do check out YouTube occasionally but always download anything that looks interesting so I can listen at my leisure and not be dependent on the internet being available.

I've a Squeezebox touch with a MCRU PSU, and it is in my main system. It's hardwired to my router which in turn is hardwired to my PC. I do have a fair bit of music on the hard drive but I want a dedicated PC for that before too long.
As regards streaming, does internet radio on the Squeezebox count ? I use it now and then, and have found some good stations all over the world. And the cost is no cost.
Hopefully the new DAC will be installed in a few days and everything will sound better.
EDIT I do use You-tube on the PC fairly often through my office system, mainly for nostalgia (like old) musicand railway related films.

I use Spotify Premium to stream music at work and into my system (currently via a Logitech Touch on battery power, running EDO & TT3 tools), so I pay the £9.99 per month subscription. I use it mainly to identify new music to purchase. Sound quality is variable but, at its best, the high quality streams sound good.
I also find Amazon Music very useful for accessing and playing my purchases when not at home.

Radio Paradise is very good, especially if you can find the Naim hi-res stream.

I had a free Spotify account when I lived in Scotland but I can't access it anymore from here in Brisbane, which is a shame as it was a good source to listen to new music before any purchases. Now I only use the Touch to listen to the occasional internet radio station.

Not mega fussed about sound quality when streaming, more background listening/ new band discovery kind of thing.
Radio Paradise is great for that, hear something, write down details and hear rest of album on Amazon or YouTube. Like it enough? Buy it.
Do the Youtube thing too, access it directly from Jriver playing through my server. Sound quality can be surprisingly good and there are complete albums of stuff and great live performances out there.
Good idea for a sticky Martin? Post your fav Youtube music related videos?

My streaming mainly consists of BBC Radio using LMS and Squeezebox Touch. I do use Spotify occasionally but it's only a free account. I've also just pasted the Naim stream for Radio Paradise into my favourites in LMS

Spotify Unlimited account (£4.99), was a Premium member for ages but downgraded when I had big problems after an upgrade and never bothered to change back. Very happy with the service, use it at wok from a laptop with headphones and an iBasso amp/DAC and at home on my office near-field system. Use it for discovery pretty much all the time and I don't use streaming services of any kind on my main system, just my FLAC file server there.
I wouldn't be without it, its an essential element of my musical enjoyment, as discovery is a big thing for me. It saves me more than it costs me as I used to buy music like a man possessed, now it needs a few spins on Spotify to confirm if I really need to own it. I don't have time for any other services, its a struggle just keeping up with what's new and playing stuff that pops through the letter box!

That echo's my situation precisely Tim (other than I've never had a Premium Spotify account). I am often gratified by just how good stuff can sound when streaming at a paltry 160kbs. I have a free Grooveshark account but don't use it all that often and also do the YT thing and agree with others here that the sound quality can be startlingly good.

I listen to you tube on my office system. My computer uses Windows 7 and then to an old QED sand amp (A240cd which I purchased new) and a pair of home made mini monitors with 4" Sony car speakers. Works well.
Most computer speakers are absolute rubbish.

Good idea for a sticky Martin? Post your fav Youtube music related videos? By all means kick it off, Gaz, and I'll make it a sticky (in the General Music section).

I got a deal with my phone on deezer. I use it mainly at work (browser) and via squeezebox server. Sound qualty is above my expectation after free spotify usage.
i use it either as background or to see whether it is worthwile for new releases to visit the record shop!
We have to wait until serious HD becomes broadly available.

Spotify for me, was using the free version until Vodafone offered it as part of the phone contract. Works well on the phone and the quality is fine as far as I'm concerned, although not close to vinyl.

I just went and checked Spotify access in Australia and it appears that I can now use my account. If it wasn't for this thread I wouldn't have checked.

Spotify premium. Gets used by everyone in our house, great for new music, very convenient and if I hear something really good I go buy the CD. The biggest plus for me though is downloadable playlists. Top them up before I head offshore and then I have a big library of music to listen to as streaming services don't work here.
