DPD have improved, or perhaps it's since we moved?
I prefer UPS if I'm sending bigger things or Royal mail signed for and smaller.

Our Hermes guy is great , always delivers first time , we have an understanding , he can leave it anywhere as long as he posts a note . DPD are also very good , never had a problem . In fact any of the delivery companies that let you leave instructions on their app or website are fine by me it's the ones that appear randomly that I don't like .

In my area, at least, Hermes have improved out of all recognition and I use them on a regular basis.
They even supply a reliable 2 hour delivery time slot now.

As I've said before, my regular Hermes lady is great, and I've never had a problem with either her or the company. I couldn't resist posting the video of that driver launching the parcel from on top of his van though.

In our area, Hermes aren't too bad, there is one main guy who drives around in a beaten up old blue transit, but he is pretty friendly and efficient.
DPD are unpredictable, one of the guys is excellent, whereas a couple of the others don't care and are less so.
Amazon drivers are simply atrocious. They dump things on door steps in plain sight. They put things in dirty black bins, they throw things over the fence/wall (including breakable items)... complete nightmare!

Our Amazon guys are great - never have an issue with them and being Prime members we use it a fair bit.
When sending anything of importance I will always use UPS now.
