Gosh, John, you weren't kidding. That's going to take a while to process.

Either Jon or Ayra has to kill Dany. I think Jon will not be King but might end up in the North as a bit of foreshadowing earlier. I presume no more Kings or Queens. Not sure if Therion will survive after freeing Jamie. Not sure how they can destroy Drogon but they need to end Dragons. Just my thoughts. In the end, I see that both Ice (the Night King) and Fire (Dany) are as equally deadly and that Dany became a tyrant that she wanted to destroy. The ending has so far been a lot more bitter than bittersweet in my opinion. Ramsey would have pointed out if you think this has a happy ending you not been paying attention.

It was always going to be Dany descending into the sort of vicious retribution she spent most of her time fighting against. The first time we saw it was executing Mossador back a few series instead of giving clemency. Now she has gone full fury she is not to be reasoned with. I agree, either Jon or Arya will kill her. Both were sickened at the sacking of the city. Tyrion is bound to be found out, I don't hold much hope for him.
I miss Varys, he was an interesting character.
Perhaps if Dany dies Drogon dies, too?

I think Drogon has to be killed as an independent magical creature lol Not sure if Tyrion will die or not, he has been close a few times. I used to always think he survive. It could go either way. You could see him saying that Dany will kill Sansa to Jon for her betrayal of his secret. Agree Varys was interesting.

I've had 24 hours to think and I still can't come up with an ending , the dragon has to go but how ? can't see Arya killing Dany nor Jon come to that , Bron is still around I'm sure he will play a part as he was promised High Garden by Tyrion .

We have to wait but clear Dany with Drogon is just as a big threat as the Night King as think she killed even more people than the Night King

Let's be honest this season has been mostly dire, main characters doing dying in the stupidest ways, Daenerys flipping? Missed opportunities to kill easier and faster with little or no bloodshed, wasted and meaningless deaths.
Seems to me like the writers came out of a meeting having been told we need to kill them all off and you've only a few episodes to do it when they'd actually planned at least another 2 seasons.
It's a pity as this season is going to define Game of Thrones and haunt it, you can hear people telling others years from now, yeah watch Game of Thrones it's awesome..... Just don't watch season 8 though, it's s***
Writers NEVER seen to know how to end their story, happens time and time again. Before they start writing surely they should have a beginning, a middle and an end? Seems to me they start off great, then in trying to be clever as they get going they forget where they're supposed to end up and have to try and tie everything in so little time they cock it up.
Season 8 just seems rushed and filled with panic writing 🙁
Did you notice that this time Daenerys was dressed in black in The Bells episode, oh dear were back to the 1950's westerns now are we?

Realising that GoT is all about mythology, magic and symbology, I think it has been quite consistent, not to say complex, in the big story arc regarding foretellings and signs of things to come. I don't agree about S8, I think it's been very well done in order to see the story through to its proper conclusion: who will get the throne. I also think the big budget has been well spent while not sacrificing humour and characterisation and the little moments.

Glad your enjoying it but you're in a minority going by almost all the reviews and comments so far, each episode in Season 8 has had lower ratings with each passing episode, this week's one gaining the lowest rating so far. I'm just waiting on the ridiculous ending like they did with Dallas, don't say I didn't warn you 😂 PS: I don't mean that it will all end up as a dream, just that the ending will be crap 😜

This is what I think should have happened :
The North/Dany/Dragons attacking Kings landing and at the height of the battle the Night King arrives with his hordes , sort that out !

Yes, I realise that. It's all good fun, but I haven't been disappointed with this season. Quite the opposite, really.

I haven't been disappointed with this season. I haven't either , the timing of the Night King battle was a bit early that's all .

I do get why some people are upset. I think for me the fall from grace of Dany is just to fast, yes sure we got some foreshadowing but the build-up to this needed to be a bit better delivered. Ideally, it needed a few more seasons but that was never going to happen. I thought the Bells was brilliantly directed and I was left shocked by what happened, which is how we should feel. I felt okay with Jamie arc. Yes he had a good side but he always had a darker side, we just got to see he was a complex character. I have no issues with Cersi storyline either some amazing acting. I found the two potential pregnancies frustrating Dany with Jon was foreshadowed a lot but then this season completely ignored, whilst Cersi seemed to just stay in the first few months and then switched to who was responsible for this. Very confusing and no explanation. I think the throne should be destroyed with that kind of power it is to easy to be abused. Perhaps an elected Council?

I'm enjoying it too - for what it is. Glass half full. Can't go on forever or fulfill EVERY fantasy. Lots of filming showing the consequences of war from the point of view of the common foot soldier / civilian. Not just the hero view.
One dragon could do all that! Must have really been pissed off. Seemingly endless tank!
Good old Jamie killing that cocky Iron Islands Euron twat. Mountain / hound. Hound hated bro more than fear of fire!
Long over due Kings Landing / Lannister clear out. How stupid and smug Cersei was - is she post tense? - maybe, we'll see.. Some will no doubt have survived though!
What will come next?
