I use one of the older Power Inspired regen units as my mains is over 240v - the regen kicks out a rock steady 230v. They sometimes come up second-hand.

I run both my P3 and P10 regenerators at 230V output so that Chinese equipment won't suffer. It improves the regulation, anyway.

I’ve replaced mine once as a precaution so they didn’t let me down or leak as they can be corrosive. I might do them again soon. There are 3 batteries in it and they only cost about €12 each. Fitting them wasn’t too difficult.

Would you have a link for buying the batteries and anything I need to know for installation?

This seems like a well made DAC that is getting some great reviews

It's an R2R DAC.

Nice to see something different, the reviews l've read seem to be glowing. And although expensive, it's still not going into the crazy price bracket.

Yes R2R in the Rockna territory according to reviews but not at the Rockna price point

I can say this is big step up from the R26 all round, its a bit early to give any 100% conclusions here, athough I do find it a bit slow, that said it is good!

Looks like a really nice Dac. Will you be modifying it Tony?

Are those internal covers a form of shielding? They don’t look to be copper but might still be for RF.

Are those internal covers a form of shielding? They don’t look to be copper but might still be for RF. They will help to a certain amount, certainly better than a open board. Aluminium will sheild fine, so it's a bonus. The only place where is won't do much is the torriod transformer, due to close proximity. lt good to see something interesting, and this could even give the likes of Gustard ,Topping and SMSL a nudge on improving things, instead of the latest chipset.

Excellent Tony... At least we can get some real user views from yourself, rather than the cotton candy reviews that focus on Gold spikes 🤣
