Ok,this shows : on top my Phoenix a30 - a customised amp which has had the Lampizator mods done so runs in triode and can use KT88s or 6550s. The valve line up in that pic are Black Treasure KT88s and Full Music 6sn7s with 5u4 rectifiers. It's excellent. Its hooked up to my faithful AN K/B which are like old friends. Love them. A really natural sounding musical speaker. Fed from idevices through Chromecast Audio then it's a really great sound. There's a Yamaha CD player underneath too.
You can also see a Wobblechopped AVC EL34 amp and that's just excellent too - the synergy with the ANs and the silver cable really creates something special.
There's also an Armstrong 626 and a pair of Tannoy Mercurys there. Not in the same class but an interesting £25 experiment.

My other system is downstairs - this is used for TV and music.
This is an Acoustic Research A07 amp - dual mono and about 90wpc so good n powerful! It's hooked up to Horne Shoppe Horns which use the upgraded Fostex 8" drivers. These are great with my valves as well as the A07.
I move the amps about every so often.

Looking good Chris. I like the look of those single drive speakers, what are they?

www.thehornshoppe.com/They're called Horne Shoppe Horns mate. These are the upgraded ones with better drivers. They didn't originally grab me but they do now. I just forget them and occasionally find myself thinking damn, that sounds good. I would describe them as very natural and musical.

I remember driving past the old Armstrong factory in London every day. Good to see a 626 still running.
