I get it too on all of my machines from time to time. I think it is a type of adware of equivalent, MartinT will understand more. Personally, I just close down the page and reopen and it goes away. I have noticed it seems to happen more if you select 'Recent' but that might be in my imagination.

Nope, I've never seen it. Then again, I don't use iAnything.
It may be worth testing an Ad Blocker to see whether that affects it. Also, try Chrome as Safari is pretty rubbish.

The first port of call is your browser. If you haven't already done it, clear its cache. If you don't know how to do that then Google "clear cache" plus the name of your browser. If you're using Safari (as I see Martin has mentioned) there's info here...More stuff here...And from Apple SupportI'm going to look bloody silly if you're not actually using Apple.

A very good Ad Blocker for Edge is uBlock Origin. I don't know if it's available for other browsers, but it works a treat for me.

I am using Chrome on my mac mini and have never had this issue.
However I have been directed to spam a few times using TAS on my Android phone.

Happens a fair bit with me going between threads - but my McAffee anti-virus stops it with a "dodgy site - do you really want to go there?" kind of warning. Only seems to happen when I am on TAS.

Used to get a lot of spam using TAS on my phone, downloaded an ad blocker which stopped it.

So if others get it too and some ad block I can live with that. looks like the forum hosting has been snatched. Thanks for your thoughts

looks like the forum hosting has been snatched No, it doesn't. Looks like the ads which pay for the free hosting that ProBoards provides sometimes causes issues. They are third party and, although vetted, can cause the occasional issue.

I regard it as an issue if one cannot unsubscribe from all offers-villaged.com emails. Yes each ad like lw.offers-villaged.com offers a subscribe but one cannot unsubscribe *.offers-villaged.com. Sadly my mail service does not allow a spam rule for *@*.offers-villaged.com So now I have crap I may have agreed to legally but cannot withdraw that agreement.

If so go to their website and at the top of the page you'll see a symbol comprising three horizontal black lines, click on that and you'll be offered some options, including one to unsubscribe. Alternatively, here's a direct link... au-offers-villaged.com/unsubscribe.htmlGoogle is your friend.

Thank you for the suggestion unfortunatley I get ‘Something went wrong. Please refresh and try again twice’
I then tried their contact us form but that refused to send
Perhaps Google is not as much of a friend
I aso tried without the au. but they don’t want to loose you. Another Google suggestion only works with gmail which I do not use.
Thanks for the good intention. 2 ads in 20 mins

First off clear your internet cache (it's no use asking me how, coz I have no i-anythng here). You'll keep getting popups until you do.
Next download Firefox from the Apple store and when installed add the Adblocker Ultimate plugin. Use Firefox in preference to Safari.

Give Opera or Opera Mini browsers a try. I like Mini and have been using it for years on mobiles. They have built-in ad blockers which can be turned on or off. Never have problems with ads when it's on. Couldn't believe the number of ads on AOS when I disabled it.
Have Chrome too but use Mini most of the time.

Would Martin please cease using this form of income.
I have used Firefox to no different behaviour.
I have gone to a different machine to circumvent the problem but as soon as try to login to HERE I get Access to google-com-win-a-free-gift-from-amazon-walmart-iphone.com was denied You don't have authorisation to view this page. HTTP ERROR 403 happen on another page/tab.
This is annoying. I shall run out of machines to try all your suggestions soon. 2 MacBooks, 2 IPads.
Merry Christmas

I tried Opera on my Android tablet and took it right off again. It has a real problem rendering text with correct spacing, which I found irritating in no time at all. Went back to Chrome, problem disappeared.

There's always the option of paying Pro-Boards to block the ads for you. My attitude to this is "over my cold, dead body", so AdBlocker plugins is the way I went, and I don't get any intrusive advertising as a result. Pro-Boards does pester me with some stuff (can I have a word?), but it's easy to ignore.
